Gear Unit Troubleshooting Guide
| Malfunction | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |

| Excessive noise around fastening points | Loose fasteners | Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque. Replace any damaged bolts or nuts. |
| Changes in operating noise | Damaged gear teeth | Contact the after-sales service team. Inspect the teeth of all gears and replace any damaged components. |
| Excessive bearing clearance | Contact the after-sales service team and adjust the bearing clearance. | |
| Damaged bearings | Contact the after-sales service team and replace the damaged bearings. | |
| Abnormal gearbox noise | Oil level is too high or too low | Check the oil level at room temperature. Add or drain oil as required. |
| Oil has been in service for too long | Check the date of the last oil change. Replace the oil if necessary. | |
| Oil pump malfunction | Check whether the oil pump is operating correctly. Repair or replace the pump if necessary. | |

| Air inlet of the fan guard and/or gearbox housing is heavily contaminated | Clean the fan guard and gearbox housing. | |
| Deposits have accumulated inside the cooling coil | Contact the after-sales service team. Clean or replace the cooling coil. | |
| Increased vibration at the bearings | Bearing damage | Contact the after-sales service team. Inspect and replace the bearings as required. |
| Gear damage | Contact the after-sales service team. Inspect and replace the gears as required. | |
| Excessive backstop temperature or failure of the backstop function | Backstop damage or malfunction | Contact the after-sales service team. Inspect and replace the backstop as required. |
| Oil leakage from the gear unit | Poor sealing at the housing cover or connection points | Inspect the seals and connection points. Replace damaged seals and reseal the connections if necessary. |
| Radial shaft seal failure | Contact the after-sales service team and replace the radial shaft seal. | |
